Planning is underway for 2027 already! An important step in this process is the opportunity for students to select their courses for next year.
August is Course Selection Month for Year 9 - 12 students. This process is completed by using our online platform: which opens for students to make their selections on Wednesday 29 July.
Selections will need to be completed by Wednesday 17 August for next year's 10 to 13. To access the platform and to approve your child’s course selection, you will need to use the same email address that we send the school newsletter to. If you have issues logging into the course selection platform, please contact the main office admin@lynfield.school.nz
It is important for students to think carefully about their selections and make informed decisions. For many students choosing courses can be an anxious time. However, there are many places from which they can seek help.
At school, students can talk with Russell Christie (Careers Advisor), their Year Level Dean, subject teachers or Hui mai teacher for advice. At home, families and whānau can help by reassuring their child and helping their child to identify their interests, skills and strengths. The transition to starting a career has changed in recent years and may be different from parents' experiences when they were making the same decision.
